VICHADA, A WONDERFUL GREEN SPELL BETWEEN PLAIN AND JUNGLE

Far to the east of Colombia in the eastern plains, just beside the immense Orinoquía is located the department of Vichada, the second largest in extension after the Amazonas. This green paradise of meadows, rivers and jungle with an exceptional climate creates the right environment for the production and extraction of the best quality honey.

RICHNESS

OF HONEY AS OUR MOST PRECIOUS NATURAL

In Vichada, the presence of API bees are an intangible indicator of the richness of biodiversity and environmental cleanliness of the highlands of the eastern department.

Our honey arises from an organized and constant work of the bees in forest plantations together with the beekeeper to result in dark-colored honey with minerals and antioxidant substances; also a woody, balsamic and resinous scent that in a single product reduces the essence of the Colombian Orinoco.

HONEY DOESN’T REQUIRE ANY INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMATION PROCESS

Unlike sugar and other sweeteners, honey is a food that contains hundreds of antioxidant properties, vitamins such as B, C, D and E and numerous minerals such as iron, copper, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc and manganese.

Additionally, honey doesn’t require any industrial transformation process, after harvesting it receives a small filtering process to later be packaged from the honeycomb to the table.
